Il Fuoco Invisibile
In 2013 a silent epidemic, Xylella, struck the centuries-old olive groves of Salento, wiping out millions of trees and centuries of history in a few years. It is an invisible fire — as the writer Daniele Rielli called it in the book he devoted to this tragedy, a Premio Strega 2024 finalist — that burns without flames but leaves deep scars.
From the very first day Forestaforte stood in defence of this land, fighting to save the soul of Salento's olive growing. It supported the work of the scientists who identified the resistant cultivars, Leccino and Favolosa. This oil is the fruit of those very trees, enriched by Coratina, the queen of Puglia's cultivars, in a cuvée that gathers and celebrates the rebirth of a territory.
